They weren't suppose to even be having an affair let alone having a baby. Villefort and Madame Danglars then agreed to kill their baby, they put it in a box tried to bury it. Bertuccoio then recognizes the pregnant woman in the garden it was Madame Danglars, and the man he thought he killed was Villefort.
My group and I feels that Madame Danglars similar characteristics are describe as a snake. Why? Because snakes are very sneaky and they like to creep. Madame Danglars is a snake because she cheats on Mr. Danglars with Villefort behind his back. Not only did they both decieve him they then ended up having a baby.
